This picture was taken in Salzburg, Austria where The Sound of Music was filmed. The Do-Re-Mi steps are not as big as they are portrayed in the
movie. They are
very short steps and not as wide as they looked.
Hollywood did a great job making the stairs look extravagantly
large.
