Sat. night

I cooked a rack of ribs last night and man it was tasty. I brined it over night prior to baking it, so the meat had an extra flavor in it.
Tonight, I’ll be watching one of the biggest UFC fights in history at the Dirty Martini: B.J. Penn vs. George St. Pierre.

Busy Week

I had a super busy week. After spending the entire weekend in the city, I got home Monday afternoon and was pooped. I took a nap that afternoon and went to bed at 10:30. While asleep, I got a phone call from a friend who had tix for the opening night for Wicked. After 10 hours of rest I straightened out my room a bit and took a 2 hour nap afterwards - catching up on the sleep that I lost during the weekend. I got up from my nap and got ready for the play that was scheduled to start at 8pm. The play Wicked was wickedly good and I would recommend it to any one who has seen the Wizard of Oz.
I got home from the Tuesday night outing at 1:30 am and crashed till my alarm went of at 7am. I had a funeral service to attend to which started at 9:30 am. I got home from the service at 5pm. Checking my email, I received a message in regards to a special movie screening, “I love, man.” Scheduled for Thursday night, and the movie not schedule to be released till March, I decided to attend. The movie definitely has its humorous moments.
Friday – today – relaxed. I’m planning to stay home tonight as I look forward to the BJ Penn and GSP fight tomorrow night.

Last Min Trip

Being the spontaneous person I am, I decided to go to Vegas. I purchased my ticket Friday afternoon and left Sat to return on Monday. The decision was quite easy: AVN, cheap round trip tickets, and a free room.
In addition to the Adult Entertainment Stars that were present at the AVN, Tommy Lee, Baba Bouie, Kurt Angle, and the Flow Ridas were also in attendance.
While in Vegas, I created this quick video.

Hello 2009

2008 was like one long hangover. The only highlight of the year was my trip to Spain to partake in Running of the Bulls in Pamplona. Other than that, 2008 was just terrible in all shapes and forms.
For the first time in over 8 years, I didn’t go out to celebrate the New Year. I opted to spend time with my Grandmother - whom is in town- along with my other family members. And to properly celebrate the New Year, we had a wonderful meal - Lobster baked in a pool of butter and garlic. The cocktail I chose to celebrate with was a classy beverage - Johnny Walker Blue neat.
Leaving 2008 behind as a dismal year, I’m looking forward to a banner year.
