It didn't take me long to stop doing jumping jacks. After 2 weeks of jumping jacks, my inner knees started to hurt. I busted my knees years ago and I never went to therapy for it. In addition, I'm assuming the years from skateboarding and snowboarding has taken a toll on my knees. So I had to stop jumping jacks and found something new. A friend of mine told me about M100's.

Jumping Jacks
I'm so out of shape and with the Snowboard Season rapidly approaching, I've got to start getting my legs in shape. I do play softball on Fridays but, that's not gonna hack. So step 1: Get my cardio up and start with the basics. Jumping jacks for 5 mins(non-stop). It's really more difficult than it sounds as I only lasted 2:30 min today.

Progress

Slow as a turtle, but I'm making some progress! The clip inserts and voice overs have started. Big thanks to iPhilms on the sound conversion. He took a look at my screen shot on my previous post and caught my audio error.
I've still got items to post on my recent trip to Hawaii, so stay tuned.

New Project
After a year, I'm finally going to work on a project that I've put off for over a year. I'm hoping to turn it into a series of videos, all pending on content. I started it last year, but set it aside due to time - time wasted on other BS; but it came to me the other day, when at home, all I have to do is spend an hour on it each day.

Morning Drive
This is what my morning commute looks like before hitting traffic. It's the quiet before the storm. The picture was taken from my phone.

Gangsta Tear Drop
So on my way home from work today I had a gangsta tear drop roll down both of my cheeks as I sipped on an orange/cream flavored icy drink. Adams song came on the radio and thought of a good friend of mine who passed away. She was huge Blink 182 fan.
When you lose someone close to you, it's difficult to move on but when you finally do, you will never forget and will always remember the good times.

Commute
With the Bay Bridge closed off, my normal 2 hour commute home from work tuned to 1 hour. Because the bridge is closed off both in both directions, the extra traffic that I drive through in the Emeryville area was non existent - less cars heading in the same direction as I.
The drive was great with the exception of 4 cars that seemed to be lost. They must have been the only 4 people in the entire bay area who didn’t know the Bay Bridge was closed. As we all drove towards the closed turnoff to the bridge, the 4 vehicles slowed down. A minimum 1000 yards of open road was ahead of them as I tailed them at a speed of 40 mph for a few miles. Jerks.

Manny

Not Manny Ramirez or Manny Pacquiao, but manny as in male nanny. That’s what I’ve been doing this entire week; I volunteered to baby sit my 3 month old nephew. Since I’m currently unemployed, I need to find a way to contribute into today’s society. There isn’t any better way than to help out my family and watch the tiny one. All he does is eat, sleep, and dirty his diaper. Once in a while he’ll get fussy, but that’s due to itchy gums and a bad belly. He was constipated a few days ago and now, I think he’s teething.

Observation
I was at Taco Bell the other day and observed a couple interesting things while eating a double beef burrito and a triple layer nacho:
1) It was very interesting observing an elderly woman whom did not speak English attempt to order food. She appeared to be Chinese. What made it interesting is the fact that I just got back from Hong Kong and witnessed a complete 180 from my experience in Hong Kong. The Chinese people in Hong Kong were absolutely rude. When I tried to communicate to them, they’d give me a dirty look and turn their backs because I didn’t know how to speak Chinese. Here-in the US, the lady at the counter was very patient and helpful in taking the Chinese lady’s order. What made it even stranger was the lady working behind the counter wasn’t fluent with English. She was of Latin decent. If I was in Bizarro World, the Chinese woman would have received the cold shoulder.
2) There were 3 young gals Kids talking about getting jobs. One of them just got hired for her first job and was very excited. She boasted about treating her companions out to lunch on her first pay check and her parents as well. As I listened in, their conversation took me back to my first job. In the 4th grade, I handed out newspapers at an event near the Golden Gate Bridge which took place very early in the morning. I earned 50 bucks which went towards my Nintendo Entertainment System (NES).

Who's older?
I was out bar hopping last night with a few guys whom I normally go out with. During a conversation with one of the German acquaintances, we started to converse on who’s older. In a drunk state, the conversation went like this:
Flo: You’re an old fart RJ
Me: Nawwww I think you’re older
Flo: No way, what year were you born?
Me: XXXX
Flo: No way, me too! What month
Me: July
Flo: Hahahahahha.. Me too! What day
Me: 9
Flo: You’re lying! Let me see your ID
So we both shared our info like little kids. I can’t believe I know someone who was born on the same day and year as I.

Interesting Book on GWB

Downtown SF during the holidays is quite exciting. I would bet if you were able to zoom out and have a sky view, it would be similar to watching an Ant Farm: Tons of people walking in the same directions and the occasional stragglers headed directly into traffic.
I walked into Urban Outfitters and ran across 2 interesting books. The first book was a doodle book. The book has preset topics to doodle about such as a picture of an open closet door with a headline that states, "What's in the closet." You would then doodle the contents of the items in the closet.
The second book I ran into is entitled, “Everything I learned in the White House by George W. Bush: The Legacy of a Great Leader." I found it humorous because every page inside the book was completely blank.
